Update on the Kimberley Parks fires

The Department of Environment and Conservation (DEC) wishes to advise that Purnululu National Park still remains closed to the public and all commercial operations as a result of recent wildfire activity.

Purnululu National Park:

Purnululu National Park remains closed to the public and all commercial operations as a result of continued wildfire activity in the North and South West sectors of the park. DEC will continue to monitor these fires and keep Commercial Operators abreast of the situation.

Windjana Gorge National Park and Tunnel Creek National Park:

Please be advised that these parks have been reopened to the public and commercial operations. Park staff have conducted patrols of the two parks and have deemed them safe to be reopened.
